Our Team

Chief, Division of Plastic Surgery, Luminis Health

Dr. Masden is a board-certified plastic surgeon. After graduating at the top of his class from University of Rochester School of Medicine, he did his plastic surgery residency at Georgetown University Hospital in Washington, DC. He spent the first part of his career practicing in Washington, DC with a focus on reconstructive and cosmetic plastic surgery. This included both elective breast surgery and breast reconstruction, body contouring after massive weight loss and limb salvage surgery. Dr. Masden is a trained microsurgeon and has also spent much of his practice on restoring form and function to patients after injury from trauma or cancer surgery. He joined Luminis Health as the chief of plastic surgery with the goal of bringing this expertise to the area.

Lead Physician Assistant

Lauren joined Luminis Health Plastic Surgery in November 2021 as the lead physician assistant. She grew up in Mystic, Connecticut and went on to complete her Bachelor’s and Master’s Degree in physician assistant studies at Wagner College in Staten Island, NY. Lauren spent the first three and a half years of her career at The Johns Hopkins Hospital working for The Center for Transgender Health. At JHH she specialized in all areas of transgender health, including feminizing and masculinizing gender affirming procedures, breast cancer reconstruction and general plastic surgery. In addition to her work at Luminis Health, Lauren works as a per-diem general surgery physician assistant (PA), is involved in academic research, and is a part of advisory committees for PA school curriculum.

Nurse Practitioner

Telisha is a board-certified family nurse practitioner who joined the Luminis Health team in October 2021. She combines her medical experience with a specialized knowledge of diseases and unique concerns that affect our patient population. Telisha earned her baccalaureate in nursing from Angelo State University in San Angelo, TX. She went on to complete a Master’s Degree in emergency disaster management from Trident University International in California, and she also has a Master’s Degree in nursing from the University of Central Florida.

Telisha is a Major and Chief Nurse for the District of Columbia National Guard. She has worked as a nurse practitioner in vascular and family health and has over 15 years of nursing experience at the bedside in critical care and in outpatient clinics.

Physician Assistant

Ginny joined Luminis Health Plastic Surgery in 2015 after completing a one-year surgical residency at Johns Hopkins Hospital. Ginny received a Bachelor of Science in Psychology from College of Charleston in South Carolina and went on to complete her physician assistant training at the University of Kentucky. Ginny has helped to grow the Luminis Health Plastic surgery department and has become highly experienced in creating and developing pathways for patients diagnosed with breast cancer, non-surgical aesthetics including injectable and laser therapies, and advancing her skills as the practice’s sole 3-D nipple areolar complex tattoo artist. In addition to her work at Luminis Health, she is a 3M consultant and teaches healthcare practitioners across the nation to use advanced wound care products for cosmetic and reconstructive cases.

We also have a room full of various sizes, brands and shapes of implants and expanders. This allows us to truly customize your implant-based reconstruction.
